Meeting of the Minds 2015 - Key West Florida
GruntsOne of the great things about attending MOTM's is that you never know when you're going to be asked to perform. Here I was asked by the "Shanty Hounds", (Dani Hoy and "Key West Chris" Rehm) to play during one of their gigs at Grunts.

Poolside @ Truman AnnexImpromptu concerts seem to pop-up all over the island during MOTM. Here I was asked to sit in with some of the best in the business. Mike Mangum, Steve Hauser, Gary Snead, Dennis Davis & JR and The Boat Drunks' Howie Golub.

Hogs Breath SaloonOne of the highlights for me during MOTM's is to visit some of the old famous watering holes that so many musicians have frequented over the years. The Hogs Breath Saloon is at the top of the list. For the past couple of years Tropical Soul has played to "standing room only" crowds during the mid day shift. This year, while I was in attendance, one of their many fans requested "Bikinis, Guitars, and Tiki Bars" a song that Dennis McCaughey graciously allowed me to record on my first CD. It was just about time for a break when Dennis ask if I would come up and play it. It wasn't the first time I performed that song in front of it's writer, but it was the most thrilling. Dennis allowed me to play a couple more songs before He, Heather, and Dave returned. That stage has so much history. Truly the thrill of a lifetime.

Koz's Green World Gallery has always been a friend to Trop Rock Music. When I first visited there, many years ago, there was a display of maybe 10 CD's on the counter. All of independent, original, Trop Rock musicians. Practically unheard of at that time. Now, there are racks of more than 300 CD's that take up about a quarter of the gallery. I was thrilled when Kos included my CD in his collection. It looks like I'm getting some air play in the gallery.
My CD "Sail On" is moving up the rack (if not the charts). Just last year it was on the bottom.
